Dealers Meeting

The meeting was attended by Mr Iida, Mr Yamagami, Mr Ozaki as representative from Yamaha Motor Co Japan, Mr Jason from Yamaha Distribution Singapore, and 16 dealers from all over Indonesia.

Year 2010 was a comeback year for Outboard Motor market in Indonesia which in 2009 was greatly impacted by the world’s financial crisis. KBA as the Distributor took the opportunity to thank all the dealers for their great contribution.

We are looking forward for a brighter 2011 with more units sales and better market share.

Yamaha Outboard 50th Anniversary

In 2010, fifty years have passed since the birth of the first Yamaha outboard motor. Now Yamaha Motor has established itself as the world’s outboard motor brand and in March of 2010 the company’s total outboard production reached the momentous 9 million mark.

But, the history of this half century of Yamaha outboard motors has not always been a smooth sailing, there have been rough waters along the way. In this long history of trying to build outboards that will bring true joy and satisfaction to the world’s users, there were many difficulties and obstacles to overcome. But, through it all, the Yamaha people involved in engineering, manufacturing, marketing and service, kept the “sprit of challenge” that is at the heart of Yamaha Motor’s corporate culture and overcame every obstacle. They continued to open up new horizons by taking on new challenges.

Bali Parts & Service Campaign

Together with one of our dealers in Bali, Bali Fiber, we conducted parts and service campaign on 31 Aug 2010. During the event in Sanur, we invited Yamaha users for a session about the importance of using Yamaha Genuine Parts and we provided free basic service (carburetor cleaning) to those who bring their engine with them. The event was attended by many users and government officials.

Grand Opening KBA Bali

On 19 July 2010, we officially opened our Bali Representative Office. It was attended by Yamaha Distribution Singapore, Dinas Kelautan dan Perikanan Bali, Dinas Kelautan dan Perikanan Lombok, Dealers, Diving Resorts and Water Sport Operators.

The Representative Office goal is to bring world class Yamaha Service know-how, provide immediate availability of Yamaha Genuine Parts for Yamaha’s customers in Bali, Lombok and the nearby islands. Owners of Yamaha four stroke engines in the area will now have peace of mind that their engines could be maintained according to Yamaha’s stringent standard and that immediate spare parts availability will allow them to operate their engine continuously without problems.

YTA Bronze Training

Yamaha Technical Academy, also known as YTA, is Yamaha’s official training programme designed to ensure that technicians possess the same skill throughout the world. There are three levels of YTA namely: Bronze, Silver and Gold with increasing complexity.

The program defined by this “Global Service Education Mid-term Plan” is characterized by a unique Yamaha technical education system. This system for the education of service people is called the Yamaha Technical Academy (YTA) and it is designed to produce of base of skilled mechanics who will enable the supply of the same high level of technical service at Yamaha dealerships throughout the world. In specific terms, it provides worldwide-unified educational texts, curriculum, qualification and accreditation systems that will serve as the basis for supplying high-level service.
